In 2008, Kristin’s beloved mother lost a short and grievous battle with ALS (Lou Gherigs’ Disease) at 53 years young. Then and there, Kristin knew that her nursing career was more than just a career, but a mission, a ministry, and a purpose to live out her mother’s caring legacy.
What sets us apart from traditional In-Home care?
Because we are nurse owned and operated, each client’s ongoing health assessment is taken into account when developing and maintaining their plan of care. Interim Healthcare of Washington, MI, is dedicated to providing the highest quality senior and disabled care, allowing you or your loved one to lead a healthy and independent life in the familiarity and comfort of home. Providing a range of services, we create a customized plan just for you. Our expert team can help out for a few hours a week or around-the-clock with 24-hour care.
We recognize the many difficulties and challenges that providing care presents. Interim HealthCare can either support you with Respite Care services, or provide you with around-the-clock care. Each client has unique needs and situations, some requiring more care than others at different times in their lives. Safety is our number one priority, followed closely is the life enrichment of those we serve.
We also provide unique individualized care to seniors with a decline in mental ability. Our Dementia Care program focuses on the senior's remaining abilities and strengths. Our caregivers are specially trained to deal with the challenges presented when caring for a senior with dementia and cognitive impairment. Not only do they assist with reminders for appointments, medications and other special dates, but they also spend time engaging with and working on memory sustainment. Equipped with continued support from our Director of Nursing, our Dementia Care program empowers our caregivers to provide these clients with the particular care necessary to enable them to remain safe and secure at home.
